Shalabhangal Holistic Development Centre for Children is a non-profit organization of Kottarakara - Punalur Diocese of Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church. It is a Sapthathy Project of Rt. Rev. Dr. Euyakim Mar Coorilos Sufragan Metrapolitan inaugurated on 25th November 2020, with the motto: "Empowering Childhood, Enriching Society".

എന്താണ് ശലഭങ്ങൾ?
കുട്ടികളുടെ സമഗ്ര വളർച്ച ലക്ഷ്യമാക്കി, ഓരോ കുട്ടികളിലെയും പരിമിതികളെ അതിജീവിച്ച് സാദ്ധ്യതകളെ പരിപോഷിപ്പിക്കുക എന്ന ഉദ്ദേശ്യത്തോടെ അഭി. ഡോ. യുയാക്കീം മാർ കൂറിലോസ് സഫ്രഗൻ മെത്രാപ്പോലീത്ത യുടെ സപ്തതി പ്രോജക്ടായി, കൊട്ടാരക്കര പുനലൂർ ഭദ്രാസനം 2020 നവംബർ മാസം 25-ാം തീയതി ആരംഭിച്ചതാണ് ശലഭങ്ങൾ (Holistic Development Centre for Children).

Shalabhangal Holistic Development Centre for Children is a sapthathy project of Rt. Rev. Dr. Euyakim Mar Coorilos started on his 70th birthday 2020 November 25th. Realization of the ministry of the Church through action projects of modern vision, care and love for the poor are the special qualities of his character. Love and care for children, youths and elders make him endeared to all.
Thirumeni gave leadership to establish Ashabhavan Pidavoor, Deepthi Balika Bhavan Pallippad, Jyothis Mavelikkara, Deepam Balika Bhavan, Prathyasha Bhavan, Snehamritham, Sahayi, Abhayam, Aswas, Smruthy.
The Institution is located in the building and property, donated by the children of Mr. T.G. Thomas and Mrs. Aleyamma Thomas, Naduvilazhikathu (Thekkekara), Kizhakketheruvu, Kottarakara in their memory and honor with the objective of promoting the welfare and well-being of the local community and general public.
നടുവിലഴികത്ത് (തെക്കേകര) വീട്ടിൽ ശ്രീ. റ്റി.ജി. തോമസിന്റെയും ശ്രീമതി ഏലിയാമ്മ തോമസിന്റെയും മക്കൾ സമൂഹത്തിന്റെയും പൊതുജനങ്ങളുടെയും ക്ഷേമത്തിനും മെച്ചമായ ജീവിതം നയിക്കുവാൻ പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുക എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെ അവരുടെ സ്മരണയിലും ബഹുമാനത്തിലും കൊട്ടാരക്കര കിഴക്കേത്തെരുവിന് സമീപം ഭദ്രാസനത്തിന് ദാനമായി നൽകിയ സ്ഥലത്താണ് പ്രവർത്തനം ആരംഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.

So, we focus on the positives and possibilities of children and not on their negatives and disabilities. We help to emphasize the positives and possibilities and thereby overcome the disadvantages and disabilities.
എല്ലാ ചിത്രശലഭപ്പുഴുവിലും ഒരു സുന്ദര ചിത്രശലഭത്തിന്റെ സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്. പുഴുവിലെ പരിമിതികളെക്കാളും ശലഭത്തിന്റെ സാധ്യതകളെ കണ്ടെത്തുവാൻ സഹായിക്കുന്ന ശലഭ കോശം (കൊക്കൂൺ) പോലാണ് 'ശലഭങ്ങൾ' എന്ന സ്ഥാപനം. അതായത് ഓരോ കുട്ടിയിലെയും വൈകല്യങ്ങളെയും പ്രശ്നങ്ങളെയും പരിമിതികളെയും പരിഹരിക്കുവാൻ സഹായിക്കുകയും, അവരിലെ സാധ്യതകളെ കണ്ടെത്തി ജീവിതത്തിൽ സുന്ദരമായി പറന്നുയരുവാൻ അവരെ സഹായിക്കുന്ന ഇടം.

ബാല്യം ശരിയായി രീതിയിൽ ശാക്തീകരിക്കുന്നതിലൂടെ സമൂഹത്തെ മൂല്യപൂർണമാക്കാം എന്നതാണ് ശലഭത്തിന്റെ ദർശനം, സൃഷ്ടാവായ ദൈവവും, സഹവാസികളായ മനുഷ്യരും പ്രകൃതിയും, സ്വയവും തമ്മിലുള്ള ബന്ധം ഉത്തമമാക്കുന്നതിലൂടെ മൂല്യം പൂർണ്ണമായ ഒരു സമൂഹത്തെ ശലഭങ്ങൾ ദര്ശനം കാണുന്നു. അന്യോന്യം ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന സാമൂഹിക തലങ്ങളിൽ ഉണ്ടകുന്ന മാറ്റങ്ങൾ, കുട്ടികളിലും അവർ വളർന്നു വരുന്നതിനോടൊപ്പം കൂടുതലായി അടുത്ത തലമുറയിലും, ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട വ്യക്തികളിലും മാറ്റം വരുത്തും. ചക്രം പോലെ ഇതൊരു തുടർ മാറ്റ പ്രക്രിയയാണ്.
ഇതിൽ ഏറ്റവും പ്രാധാന്യം കുട്ടികാലമാണ്. ഒരു വ്യക്തി എന്തായിരിക്കുന്നു. എന്നും, ഏപ്രകാരം വളരുന്നു എന്നും നിർണ്ണയിക്കുന്നതിൽ പ്രധാന പങ്ക് വഹിക്കുന്നതാണ് കുട്ടിക്കാലത്തെ വൈകാരികവും, സാമൂഹികവും ശാരീരികവുമായ വളർച്ചാ ഘട്ടങ്ങൾ.

Training for all who are involved in the development and coaching of the children: Parents, Teachers, Young families, Religious leaders, Sunday School teachers, Anganwadi teachers, Asha workers, Life skill trainers and for early identification and correction of problems and to prepare them for their future. Pre-marital counseling and parenting classes are also part of the programme.

കുട്ടികളുടെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ സ്വാധീനം ഉള്ള ജീവിത അടിസ്ഥാനം പരിശീലിപ്പിക്കുന്ന മാതാപാക്കൾ, അധ്യാപകർ, ആശാവർക്കർസ് അംഗൻവാടി ടീച്ചേഴ്സ് സൺഡേസ്കൂൾ അധ്യാപകർ, കൗൺസിലേഴ്സ്, തുടങ്ങിയവർക്കുള്ള പരിശീലനം. എല്ലാ വർഷവും ലൈഫ് സ്കിൽ ട്രെയിനെർസ് ട്രെയ്നിങ് കോഴ്സ് നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു.നല്ല കുടുംബ അടിസ്ഥാനം രൂപപ്പെടുത്താൻ പ്രീമാരിറ്റൽ കൗൺസിലിംഗ്, പാരന്റിങ് ക്ലാസ് തുടങ്ങിയവ നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു.

Training programmes for empowering and enriching children and adolescents to help them to reach their maximum potential and to reduce negative outcomes are offered. School programmes, out bond training camps and awareness programmes are also included in it.

മനുഷ്യ ആയുസ്സിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ടതും, വ്യക്തിയത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനവും കുട്ടിക്കാലമാണ്. നല്ല അടിസ്ഥാനം രൂപപ്പെടുത്തുവാൻ, പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ നേരിടാൻ കരുത്തരാക്കുവാൻ, ആദ്യകാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ തന്നെ പ്രശന സാധ്യതകൾ തിരിച്ചറിയുവാൻ, ലൈഫ് സ്കിൽസ് വളർത്തുവാൻ; അംഗൻവാടികളിലും സ്കൂളുകളിലും, സൺഡേ സ്കൂളുകളിലും, ഓൺലൈനിലും ബോധവൽക്കരണ ക്ലാസുകൾ, ലൈഫിൽ ട്രെയിനിങ്, ഗെയിംസ്, ആക്റ്റിവിറ്റീസ്, ക്യാമ്പുകൾ, കൗൺസിംഗ് തെരുവുനാടകം, തുടങ്ങിയ പരിപാടികൾ. സ്കൂളുകളിലും സൺഡേ സ്കൂളുകളിലും നിറക്കൂട്ട് എന്ന പേരിൽ ഒരു വർഷം നീണ്ടു നിൽക്കുന്ന ലൈഫ് സ്കിൽ ട്രെയിനിങ് പ്രോഗ്രാം. ആവശ്യമായ കുട്ടികൾക്ക് കൗൺസിലിംഗ് സഹായം നൽകുന്നു.

Treatment plans such as Psychotherapy, Speech Therapy, Physiotherapy, Special Education and Occupational Therapy are available to overcome problems and limitations such as autism, learning disabilities, behavioral disorders, speech impairment, and mental health and developmental issues. Awareness and screening camps are conducted in schools, anganwadis and Sunday schools. The ultimate objective of the programme is to enable and empower the children to lead happy and productive lives.

ഓട്ടിസം, പഠനവൈകല്യം, സ്വഭാവവൈകല്യം, വളർച്ച ഘട്ടത്തിലെ പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ, സംസാര വൈകല്യം, മാനസിക പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ തുടങ്ങിയ പ്രശ്നങ്ങളെയും പരിമിതികളെയും പരിഹരിക്കുവാൻ സൈക്കോതെറാപ്പി, സ്പീച്ച് തെറാപ്പി ഫിസിയോതെറാപ്പി, സ്പെഷ്യൽ എഡ്യൂക്കേഷൻ, ഒക്കുപേഷണൽ തെറാപ്പി തുടങ്ങിയ ചികിത്സാ പദ്ധതിലൂടെ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നു. സന്തുഷ്ട ജീവിതം നയിക്കുവാൻ സാധ്യതകൾ വളർത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. സ്കൂളുകളിലും, അംഗൻവാടികളിലും സൺഡേ സ്കൂളുകളിലും ബോധവത്കരണവും, സ്ക്രീ നിംഗ് ക്യാമ്പും നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു.

For children who need more intensive therapy, a camp or rehabilitation programme will be arranged.
Residential and non-residential programmes will be offered in and out of campus according to need.
4. റിഹാബിലിറ്റേഷൻ, ഇന്റൻസീവ് തെറാപ്പി
ദിനവും വന്നുപോയുള്ള ചികിത്സ പദ്ധതിയിലും കൂടുതൽ ചികിത്സ സഹായം ആവശ്യമുള്ള കുട്ടികൾക്ക് ഇന്റൻസീവ് തെറാപ്പി നൽകുവാനായി ക്യാമ്പിലൂടെയോ റിഹാബിലിറ്റേഷനിലൂടെയോ താമസ ചികിത്സ നൽകും.
